Role

For this key position, we are seeking an energetic and experienced manager who can bring strong supervisory confidence into a complex existing operation. Being successful in procurement from Chinese mainland factories requires both hard analytical accuracy, and soft communication skills.
The role is based in our office in Xili, Nanshan District, Shenzhen.
As a privately owned company, with around 100 staff worldwide, we offer a friendly, modern working culture. In the closely connected and global team, we place an emphasis on finding new ways to solve problems via internet technologies, cooperation via online communications, and efficient systematization.

Responsibilities:
• Approving or vetoing new products;
• Educating Sourcing staff why their products may not be approved
and how to prepare their proposed products for review better;
• Approving re-sourced products including changes of same
product to a new supplier;
• Setting prices for new products;
• In consultation with Directors, reviewing and re-setting prices for
individual existing products in line with pricing strategy;
• Curating product specials (discount prices);
• Tracking performance of newly launched products; analysis of
“hits and misses” from new products and feeding back into review
approval process;
• Regular revenue-based analysis of all product sales and making
recommendations to Directors;
• Proactive “product line-up” management – i.e. spotting holes
where we are missing a particular specification or price point in a
category, expanding variants on popular products, or eliminating
overly similar internal-competing products;
• “First look” approval of walk-in samples;
• EOL analysis and authorization;

Minimum Candidate Requirements:
• 8+ years working experience, 3+ years in management level
• Strong background in consumer electronics industry
• Familiar with American market, European market
• Experience working in PRC or closely with Chinese factories
• Experience using warehouse management / ERP type software
• Strong general IT skills
• Strong Financial / Pricing awareness
• English as mother tongue

Candidates With The Following Experience Are Favoured:
• MBA or similar
• Experience in MNC
• Experience living and working in English speaking country
• Experience in internet related business
• Experience in software testing and development
• Experience outsourcing and/or working with remote located staff
