Role Summary/Purpose:Provide leadership in strategy, implementation and execution of Lean Manufacturing for Energy Asia sites. Deploy appropriate tools and principles to establish robust processes and results in areas such as Quality, EHS, inventory reduction and cost out. Develop and lead cross-functional teams, inside and outside the supply chain, to break down barriers and establish effective solutions. Monitor progress and lead change initiatives that will enable sites to reach a world-class level of operations.
Essential Responsibilities. Align site Lean Visions with business strategy
. Lead development of Lean deployment strategy by site
. Create a sustainable problem solving culture
. Coach and mentor site teams on establishing and driving lean vision, planning and execution of lean events. Drive employee engagement (suggestion programs, problem solving, daily management)
. Individualized mentoring of Site Lean Leaders and Staff
. Leverage best practices to applicable Pole sites; share best practices across different sites
. Track site level execution to Lean roadmap
. Lead Action Workouts as required
. Establish appropriate management reviews to engage leaders and drive progress
. Co-lead preparation for key events using external consultants
. Define metrics to take progress at site level and region levels.
. Drive best practices sharing between sites and implement cross-sites initiatives
Qualifications/Requirements:· Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent
· Minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience in manufacturing environment … preferred previous experience as Plant Manager or in Lean function
· Experienced with proven results in driving lean manufacturing across multiple sites - Passion for lean culture
· Ability to work at all levels of organization; coaching plant managers and motivating shop floor employees
· Deep understanding of lean principles and how to apply practically at shop level to get results
· Strong communication and teaching ability
· Persistent and results orientated
· Fluent in Mandarin and English
· Ability to travel across the region
