Resident Engineer – High Speed Rail – China

DESCRIPTION:

Your duties will include:

• Preparing work objectives and requirements of project supervision organization, identifying specific working systems, procedures, methodology and measures;
• Reviewing relevant quality control documentation of contractors;
• Inspecting and verifying site laboratory of contractors,
• Checking and approving the quality of various building materials and equipment to be used by contractors;
• Design variation management – compliance with approved Design Variation Order;
• Inspection and recording of quality defects of works and supervision of remedial process
• Review of safety management organization and procedures,
• During the construction, inspecting the attendance of site safety staff, and conditions of safety facilities,
• Monitoring compliance with environmental regulations.
• Preparation of work supervision, project completion and project quality assessment reports

REQUIREMENTS:
To qualify for this position, you should;

• Have a degree in civil engineering
• Have previous High Speed Rail experience
• Have more than 6 years working experience on major rail projects
• Have previously worked for a civil engineering consultancy
• Have experience in construction supervision, design or build management
• Have previously acted in a position of similar responsibility – person in charge
• Have strong technical knowledge
