The incumbent will be responsible for the company’s investment performance.
Our Client is a leading mutual fund management company based in Shanghai, with branches in Beijing and Guangzhou. It’s supported by a world top investor with more than 60 years investment management experience in global market. The foreign share holder has more than 50 research institutions in 28 countries over the world. At present, the company has 8 fund products, including one 5-star and two 4-star funds, covering equity, fixed income, index investment.
As on equity investment ability, the company ranked top five in 2008 and top 10 in the successive two years of 2007 and 2009 according to Yinhe Fund Research Center Statistics. It has also been awarded“Star Fund Management Company of Asset Allocation of 2008 ”, “The most potential fund management company of 2007” and “The top 10 popular fund management company in 2007”.
Together with the outstanding investment performance in mainland China market, the company has also obtained the QDII qualifications(Qualified Domestic Investment Institution). With the strong support of foreign share holder’s global research network, the company will attach much importance in overseas investment in the following years.
Because of the company’s busines expansion, the company is looking for a CIO (Chief Investment Officer).

Reporting to: CEO
Subordinate Department: Local Investment Department, Research Department, Special Account Investment Department, TradingDepartment, QDII Department.
Job Location: Shanghai (Company’s Headquarter)
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement the strategies and plans made by the company’s Investment Committee; Be responsible for the investment performance of the company’s fund products;
- Conduct marketing to help promote company’s fund products;
- Coordinate and provide professional training to the subordinates;
- Improve the risk management system.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Eight-year experience in investment in asset management industry;
- Minimum Three-year experience in leading a investment team; Candidate with mainland China working experience preferred;
- Deep understanding of portfolio construction, stock selection, and asset allocation;
- Ability to perform in-depth industry/company research and construct investment portfolio;
- Ability to work in a team and in a multi-national environment;
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese, fluent Mandarin is must;
- Educated with master’s degree in related fields from a prestigious university; MBA/CFA preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin, fluent Madarin is must.
