OSS – Sales Director (China)

Job Description:

The Sales Manager has front line responsibility in developing, maintaining and growing relationships with cable, and telco accounts in China (through indirect and direct sales channels). The primary role of the Sales Director is to utilize resources (Sales engineering, Professional Services, etc) to sell OSS/BSS/Mediation software and services to meet the service management requirements of the account. The sales engineer for China is located in Beijing so we prefer the candidate be in the area or willing to relocate there. The Sales Director will report to the Global Vice President of Sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Hunting/Prospecting for Cable and Telco accounts in China

- Support the sales activities of Sigma’s reseller partners Ericsson and Genband – Nortel

- Develop partnerships with CEC, SKC&C, China Communications Services to drive more sales in China

- Develop client and partner account plans.

- Develop opportunity plans for new business with existing customers, and with prospects

- Qualify new opportunities

- Meet preset deadlines and sales goals for the territory

- Participate in client events and key shows in the region that benefit Sigma

- Develop / present proposals

- Develop and deliver client presentations

QUALIFICATIONS:

- BA/BS in business, finance, computer science or the equivalent. Advanced degree a plus.

- 8+ years experience in a high growth, telecommunications environment with a focus on Cable and Telco OSS in a sales or consulting role

- Excellent problem-solving, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; effective presentation skills

- Strong understanding of telco and cable MSO OSS/network environments

- Contacts in the industry (service providers, partners)

- Strong understanding of OSS products and solutions.

- Willingness to travel.

- Team player.

- Ability to speak advanced English.
