Jelly Belly Candy Company, Inc., makers of Jelly Belly gourmet jelly beans and other fine confections, is seeking to fill the position of International Business Manager – China.
This position will be based in Shanghai and will be responsible for setting up and managing a new Representative Office. This position reports to the Vice President of International Business. Principal responsibilities are to develop, implement and manage a strategic sales and marketing plan with P&L responsibility for the Chinese market; select/manage distributors or alternate sales agencies; assist and/or direct distributors in retail sales calls; manage and grow sales in assigned market; monitor market trends for new sales opportunities; develop and implement advertising and promotional strategies
Job Requirements
Must be fluent in English and Mandarin languages; BS/BA degree and minimum of 10 years related experience in Asian markets. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and analytical skills; superior negotiating skills across languages, cultures, and business practices; knowledge of distribution channels and retail trade practices for consumer goods in China; experience with US trade offices abroad and a willingness and ability to travel on a regular basis.
