Community Manager / Customer Service Lead

We are Koramgame.com, the international division of Kunlun inc. (昆仑网游). We have been releasing games in English since 2009, and we have launched 5 successful browser-based webgames and various social games on Facebook. The company has over 800 employees, and is looking to expand aggressively to the international market. Kunlun is one of the most successful Chinese online game companies, founded in 2007 in Beijing. We have branches in Shanghai and Guangzhou, and offices in Tokyo, Hongkong.

Job Description:
This job requires great interpersonal skill, leadership skill. The ideal candidate is a passionate gamer with experience with managing online game community, innovative, goal-oriented, self-motivated and a quick learner. The ideal candidate understands how to represent the feedbacks of a foreign game community to Chinese developers , and vice versa.
Manage and coordiante all of our online English gamer communities, duties include:
1. Forume Presence (promote interactions, assist new players, respond to player's complaints and feebacks, etc...) - You need to create a fun, friendly, welcoming and informative forum environment for all players.
2. Forum Management (moderation, recruit volunteer moderators) - You need to draft and enforce forum policy to ensure the order and stability of the forum.
3. Act as a spokeperson on game's Facebook/MySpace/Twitter and any other social network page, publish new events, announcement, and other promotion information, maintain a positive PR relation with the players.
4. Compile user-experience report, compile community feedback; Assist the development, distribution and marketing teams to develop core strategy based on players feedback for gameplay, events.
5. Monitor game community for bug reports and complaints, and rally them to the developers promptly.
6. Protect the company's image and reputation, maintain a positive PR relation with the community.
7. Create viral content for ad campaigns, events, and competitions that is warm, engaging and fun
8. Improve customer service quality, train the English Customer Service team to improve their professionalism and communication ability.
Requirements:
1. Passionate about (online) games. We are looking for someone who truly loves games, and would enjoy a career heavily involving playing games/interacting with fellow gamers. (Experience in strategy browser games like Ikariam, Travian or Ultima Kingdom is a plus.)
2. Fluent English skill, can communicate effectively in English. Intermediate or above Chinese skills, can read and talk in Chinese confidently, and translate some promotional material from Chinese with help.
3. Experience in community management as a community manager or moderator
4. A passion for social media, web 2.0, blogging, online gaming, has been active on the internet and enjoy using Facebook, blogs and forums.
5. Full of creative ideas for viral content, has an adaptable writing style that is engaging for gamers
6. Self motivated; enjoys being challenged and can handle stress well.
7. Friendly, personable, firm and respectable, great interpersonal communication skills, can remain cool-headed under stress, can influence people's opinion without sounding bossy/controlling.
8. Malleable, teachable, a quick and instinctive learner who can absorb training quickly.
9. A great mediator. You need to understand and be sensitive to both Chinese and Western culture. You are a bridge between the players and the company, international players and Chinese
10. A leader and a teacher, helpful, patient, knows how to help players and coworkers to understand a new situation; can quickly identify problems and find effective solutions.
