We are an international engineering company. We supply solutions for our clients in the Automotive industry.

We are seeking a Technical Director to manage our software development department based in Shanghai/China.

The task of this department is to develop software components, which are integrated into the products developed in our headquarter. As its leader, you would be responsible for the quality of all its workproducts. This includes all workproducts of the development process according to Automotive SPICE (project plans, products requirements, software designs, implementation, test specifications, test reports, …).

The department currently consists of 14 employees, divided into two teams. You’d be responsible for the management, motivation, training and performance reviews of all employees. Furthermore you are expected to double the size of the department over the next 3-4 years.

Qualifications
You have successfully completed your graduate degree and have at least eight years of work experience as Java developer, including three years managing Java developers. You are experienced in the documentation of requirements, development of technical concepts, IT architectures and application designs. You regard yourself as good communicator and organizer, value the contact with customers and systematically follow project targets regarding quality, adherence to schedules and cost effectiveness. You have an excellent command of both written and spoken English. You are interested in working in China for several years and could already gather work experience in Asia. Over the past years you have proven your project management skills and have gathered experience managing software developers.
Knowledge of German and/or Chinese is a plus.
