Tech Writer/contractor

Freelance at Aoning Software Zhuhai, Co Ltd. in ZhuHai,China

In this key temporary assignment (3-6 months) you’ll be writing technical manuals for our File Protector product. The manuals include user operations, administration functions, use cases, hardware platform, systems maintenance and installations guides. You’ll work closely with our Engineers to assist in meeting our delivery schedule. Our manuals are primarily written using MS Word and in US English language.

Duties and Responsibility:

· Generate, write and edit technical release notes, brochures, and/or user or Admin manuals for customer reference or publications

· Determines the use of graphics, visual aids, tables, and photographs to support the written text

· Adhere to project/program schedules and established template/guidelines

· Communicate information and ideas in writing and in diagrams so that others can understand it.

· Analyze requirements of the project, understand the functional specification and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the technical information.

· Organize material according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.

· Attention to detail and accuracy very important while working under tight deadlines

Qualifications

· BA/BS in Journalism, native English, Technical Communications, Computer Science or related field.

· 3+ years of technical writing experience with an emphasis on training and technical documentation. Experience writing for security systems preferred.

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills and an understanding of programming concepts, operating systems and/or networking

· Strong collaboration and team working skills
