Director of Operations - Beautiy and Health Products Distribution in Beijing

A new beauty and nutrition distribution company based in Beijing, initially distributing a high end branded product line to affluent Chinese is seeking to hire an experienced operations manager for the Beijing office and distribution center. This position has end to end responsibility for operational and financial functions of the supply chain and customer service operations. Primary responsibilities include planning, directing, and coordinating all activities of the operation as well as interfacing with independent sales people and resolving customer issues with the branded product manufacturer offices. This position is responsible to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction for all actions performed, and meeting/exceeding defined performance goals.
The specific responsibilities include:
Financial:
• Collaboration with the owners on preparation of operating budgets
• Management / monitoring of expenses and performance
• Collaboration with owners and distributors to identify cost savings opportunities or efficiencies to improve financial performance
Operations:
• Hiring, development and management of the direct labor team
• Collaboration with owners in the development of order and customer management applications and websites
• Selection and implementation of financial, customer service and warehouse software systems
• Customer data management
• Customer order Management
• Assortment optimization (to maximize manufacturer incentives)
• Timely, efficient and accurate Receiving, packaging, order fulfillment, shipping/delivery and inventory management
• Safety and quality management
• Scheduling of all warehouse, financial and customer service activities
• Management of internal and 3rd party delivery services
• Scheduling employees, drivers, transportation, to meet the needs of the business
• Ensuring the facility operates with the highest standards of ethics, efficiency and legal compliance
• Facilities management
• Geographic expansion planning and execution to additional cities in China, HK

Desired Skills & Experience
• BA/BS in a related field, with 6+ years of applicable consumer products distribution and customer service experience
• Experience with distribution processes: quality and inventory control, maximizing the effective receipt, storage, allocation, fulfillment and distribution of products
• Customer service orientation and experience
• Proven ability to motivate, develop & direct Chinese employees in similar environments
• Extremely organized and results focused
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Ability to adapt to changing work & business priorities
