INTERNATIONAL SALES MANAGER

Full-time at Efergy Technologies Limited in Hangzhou

The Business:
Efergy Technologies Ltd is one the world’s leading companies in energy saving products. We are based in Hangzhou, with offices in several countries and with a worldwide customer base. We are specialized designing, developing and manufacturing unique energy saving products for the retail, wholesale and utility market.

We have now a vacancy for a self-motivated International Sales Manager to manage and grow our worldwide distributor network, working directly with customers.

Skills / Experience:
Knowledge and experience on smart metering and telecommunication technologies is desirable but not essential:
- Candidates may have sales and marketing experience in a relevant technical sector
- Candidates may have non-sales experience but within the energy display or metering business sector

Experience of international sales and marketing would be a major advantage.

Geographical Location:
The successful candidate will be based in Hangzhou, and the role will involve international travel.

The Candidate:

• A graduate, ideally with an engineering background, who can demonstrate a successful track record in sales of a mid-tech product in international markets.
• Experience of introducing new products and developing sales.
• Strong character, first class presentation and leadership skills.
• 5-7 years of experience in sales management.
• Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics
• Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
• Proven leadership and ability to drive sales
• Fluent English Speaker

Responsibilities:

a) Relational responsibilities:
• Working with a team to provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values.
• Working with R&D team to ensure product portfolio maintains current market leading position.
• Providing inspirational leadership to the sales team and contribute to overall business strategy.
• Setting examples for other staff members in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
• Demonstrating ability to interact and cooperating with all company employees.
• Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensuring that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

b) Management responsibilities:
• Reporting the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned markets directly to the CEO.
• Establishing plans and strategies to expand the customer base and increase profits.
• Developing business plans and sales strategies for the markets to ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
• Controlling expenses to meet budget guidelines.
• Ensuring that all Account Executives meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.
• Delegating authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.

c) Sales responsibilities:
• Driving sales of current and new products within new territories, appointing distributors
• Reviewing, redefining and shaping the sales team to meet the changing needs of the business and achieve performance targets.
• Monitoring the performance and development of distributors
• Preparing action plans for individual distributors as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
• Initiating and coordinating development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
• Conducting one-on-one review with distributors to build more effective communications, understanding their needs and providing insight for the improvement of distributors sales and activity performance.
• Providing timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
• Maintaining accurate records of all pricings, sales and activity reports submitted by Account Executives.
• Creating and conducting presentations and RFP responses.
• Assisting Account Executives in preparation of proposals and presentations.
• Recruiting, testing and hiring Account Executives based on criteria agreed upon by senior management.
