Academic Director Urgently Needed for August
at Hays Education in Beijing
- Direct the most successful A-Level Centre in China

U-Link is a highly regarded and now one of the leading providers of the IGCSE, AS/A Level Programme in China – operating in dedicated centres within the campuses of 6 Public High Schools and Universities. They employ over 80 teachers (with British Curriculum experience) and over 60 Chinese teachers, and have over 1500 pupils enrolled on the programme. U-Link is opening an additional centre in Beijing. The 2011 projection is for over 1700 students with a target to have a total of over 2000 students in the next 2 years.
Subjects offered are Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Geography, History, Art and Design, IT and English.
Upon graduation, all students will further their studies at well-known international universities. Students are high achieving and results are excellent. 2010 academic year, 18 students from U-Link Centres gained entrance to Cambridge and Oxford with 3 students getting best in the world results and 5 getting best in China.
Building upon their excellent exam results, they are expanding and as such are looking to appoint experienced and qualified Academic Directors.
As the Academic Director, you will be the leading professional in the Centre, providing vision, leadership and direction, ensuring that it is managed and organised to meet its aims and targets. Working with others, you will be responsible for evaluating the Centre‘s performance to identify the priorities for continuous improvement and raising standards; ensuring equality of opportunity for all; developing policies and practices; ensuring that resources are efficiently and effectively used to achieve the Centre‘s aims and objectives and for the day-to-day management, organisation and administration of the Centre.
Drawing on the support provided by members of the school community, you will be responsible for creating a productive learning environment which is engaging and fulfilling for all students and teachers.
