About Olivia’s Place
Olivia’s Place is a world-class, multidisciplinary, pediatric therapy clinic with locations in Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, and Tianjin, China. We serve both expatriate and local children and their families. Our mission is to provide high quality, affordable pediatric therapy for children with special needs and for typically developing children who have developmental delays. Since our founding in 2010 we have rapidly become one of the top pediatric therapy organizations in China.
Our clinical staff offers classes to the community in both English and Chinese, teaches and volunteers at local schools, hospitals, clinics, orphanages, and universities, and provides training opportunities for local therapists. We have a Foundation that provides funds to cover the cost of care for families that cannot otherwise afford services and that works to further our mission of spreading high-quality therapy throughout China.
Job Description
• Assess and treat infants, children, and teenagers in clinic and school settings.
• Provide parent, educator, and clinician training.
• Serve as a resource to spread world class assessment and treatment practices in China.
Minimum Education & Experience
• Doctorate (PhD or PsyD) in psychology with an emphasis on children (masters-level psychologist who are qualified and licensed to practice without supervision may be eligible).
• License and/or certificate showing ability to work independently as a psychologist in your state and/or country
• 2+ years as a practicing psychologist in a school, hospital, clinic or community setting.
• Experienced at administering and interpreting an array of standardized, norm-referenced tests (e.g., intelligence, academic, memory, executive functioning)
• Fluency in written and spoken English
Preferred Education & Experience
• Training and/or experience in special education
• Training and/or experience in providing therapy to children (play therapy, filial therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, etc.)
• Training and/or experience in parent and/or teacher training and support
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
• Verbal fluency in a language in addition to English, particularly Mandarin Chinese
