Foreign Campus Liaison
at Foreign HR in Beijing
Location: Beijing
Client introduction:
Our client is a collaboration of experts in the fields of education, research and school management established by alumni of Harvard and Northwestern universities, with representatives of international Montessori organizations. Since its founding, it has utilized educational philosophies and models of successful school management from around the world to improve China's early education sector and establish the country’s premier institution of bilingual early education.
Responsibilities:
1. Instructional
Provide academic leadership, guidance and support to all English teachers throughout the year
Assist teachers in the development of lesson plans and teaching materials
Substitute in the classroom when teaching staff are unable to attend class due to illness, leave, etc.
Mentor and orientate new teachers.
2. Staff Supervision and Evaluation
Alert supervisors of any issues/concerns in need of immediate attention/resolution
Organize, supervise and report on self and peer assessment
Ensure that all paperwork required by the English Specialists is submitted on time.
3. Liaison between English Specialists and the English Department
Hold weekly meetings with the English Specialists and send agenda and minutes to the English Department
4. Purchasing and Inventory
Responsible for keeping inventory of Kindermusik materials, Android Tablets, English Library, and other ED curriculum related materials.
Responsible for teachers signing acceptance and release forms for Kindermusik materials, Android Tablets, English Books, and other ED related materials.
5. Personnel Services
Follow policies and guidelines in dealing with teacher requests
6. Administrative
Prepare and complete all necessary head office paperwork
7. Liaison Duties
Serve as liaison between English Teachers, other teaching staff, campus administrators, parents and Head Office, where necessary and appropriate
8. School Operations
Follow school procedures and guidelines regarding daily operations of campuses/schools
9. Policies and Procedures
Follow school board policies and administrative procedures
10. Research and Development
Act as a liaison with the Research and Development Department
Provide campus feedback and surveys on currently employed curricula with the teachers
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Education.
2. TEFL certificate.
3. Montessori Certificate preferred, but not required.
4. 2-5 years academic management/leadership experience.
5. Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in the field of ESL and early childhood.
6. Experience as an instructional leader.
7. Experience leading a team of 2 to 5 people or strong leadership skills preferred
8. Experience working in an international school (in China) preferred.
9. Experience dealing with parents and with administrative duties.
10. Administration Experience a plus, though not required.
11. Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Salary and benefits:
1. Basic Salary: 13,000-18,000 CNY/month (based on experienced plus benefits).
2. Holidays: Chinese National Holidays
