Editor/writer for video games blog
at Games in Asia/Tech in Asia (Anywhere)
Games in Asia is looking for a new full-time writer/editor to help us cover the Asian gaming scene. Here’s what we’re looking for:
Native English speaker who is a strong writer and editor. You don’t need to have professional experience in a related field, but it helps.
Passionate about video games and interested in the gaming scene in Asia. Seriously, if this isn’t a real passion of yours, don’t bother.
Self-driven and hardworking: we work from home and we often work long hours. It’s a fun job, but it requires strong self-control.
Working knowledge of ANY Asian languages is a plus. Chinese is OK, but Thai, Korean or Japanese would be a big plus.
Here’s what we offer you:
The chance to work from home and play/write about video games all day. Seriously.
The chance to work as part of a small startup team where you can really make a difference and have a huge impact on the site’s success.
Occasional opportunities for free travel to gaming conferences in Asia like ChinaJoy and the Tokyo Game Show.
A unique startup culture (please read and understand this).
Fair compensation* and potential options and raises in the future.
*Salary is negotiable to a point, and if you prove yourself valuable to the company, there will probably be raises and possible equity in the company in your future. With that said, understand that we’re a startup. If you’re just in this for the money, there are better options out there for you.
