Pricing Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION - PRICING ANALYST - HERTZ -CHINA
A. Job title:
Pricing Analyst - Reports to Senior Marketing Director.
B. Job purpose (mission or “raison d’être”)
The purpose of this position is to analysis business cost.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
 Daily accounts/projects management and revenue growth through on site visits to job sites/offices in addition to cold calling via telephone as necessary.
 Plan and organize business strategies to meet or exceed monthly quota objectives.
 Identify customer needs and react appropriately while understanding market conditions and local competitor pricing.
 Diversify customer base to include industrial, traditional and non traditional accounts.
 Add new customer accounts per quota.
C. Key-result areas (Major Accountabilities) (What is done and for what purpose)
 Work closely with sales, marketing and operation team to develop pricing strategy and set guidelines to drive margin improvement, and product line competitiveness.
 Work with Sales to develop ad hoc promotion plans to drive volume growth.
 The provision of a quality responsive service to internal and external customers
 Coordinate proposal development with the sales team and management.
 An understanding of motor insurance is a plus.
 Establish a system of documentation, communication and review of internal and external comparative price data.
 Independently develop new Excel models, charts and graphs, and procedures as necessary.
 Analyse market dynamics, pricing trends, market opportunities, operating and sales margins in order to develop reports, procedures and tools for pricing and quoting.
 Validate sales quotations for accuracy and profitability.
 Monthly reporting on regional price check among competitors.
 Perform other duties as assigned, including ad-hoc analysis on methods to optimize price through market and pricing strategies.

Educational Background:
BA/BS University degree preferably with a concentration in Finance .Other relating disciplines are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in finance with related industries is preferred.
Professional Experience:
 Proven track record with 4 years work experience within the relating areas.
 Work in tourism, aviation industry will be a plus.
Knowledge:
 Company processes, including credit, sales, and operations.
 Computer software tools.
 The China approach to Sales & Marketing as well as International understanding
Skills:
 Successfully apply market research and projects follow up techniques and processes
 Effectively apply oral and written communication skills with English and Mandarin
 Negotiation skill
 PR skill
Competencies:
 Ability to apply analytical thinking
 Ability to accurately analyse high levels of data
 Proficient in Word, Excel and Access applications
 Excellent communication skills
