VPM expert
at Eicher Engineering Solutions (Anywhere)
Main Duties:
• Establish and maintain a close working relationship with both customer engineers, team leaders and managers
• Monitor, measure and report on project performance status, development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales
• Liaise with other functional/departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects of the project development, and to ensure they are fully informed of development objectives, purposes and achievements
• Drive implementation of corrective action where necessary
• Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care
Qualification:
• Personality: Self-motivated, data driven, with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on delivering on time. A natural forward planner who critically assesses vehicle performance. Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with people at all levels. Reliable, tolerant, and determined.
• Specific Job Skills: Able to communicate and motivate via written media, as well as present technical reports confidently. Understands the principles of, and possesses underpinning knowledge of vehicle development, and attribute performance, including safety, NVH, operational strength, durability, energy. Ability to critique CAE simulations and interrogate them to understand the difference between good results from poor modeling, or inappropriate use of CAE, to that of reliable data.
• Computer skills: Must be able to use MS Office. Ability to manipulate CAD/CAE models an advantage
• Education: Bachelor or above
• Experience: More than 15 years experience will have been gained within at least one OEM, within vehicle engineering with experience in at least one performance attribute, at a senior level, with cross functional duties.
