Purchasing Manager
at Hertz China in Shanghai
B. Job purpose (mission or “raison d’être”)
The key responsibilities and accountabilities for the incumbent are to:
All Sales activities in regard of the Sales Growth for RAC in East China.
Purchase vehicle of quality and competitive price in time to meet service demand;
To negotiate with vendors on price, delivery, payment terms, service etc;
Conduct purchasing market research, provide procurement report to HQ
Automobile 4S store or dealership management
Identify & develop a strategic regional supply base;
Able to manage large purchasing volume
To implement cost reduction plan to achieve corporate goal;
Supply chain and procurement process optimization;
Supplier delivery & quality improvements;

F. Knowledge, skills and experience required
(Detail here the knowledge, skills and experience required for satisfactory performance of the job)
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree or above.
Professional Experience:
5 years experience in commodity purchasing, familiar with automotive procurement
Previous experience in 4S store or large automobile dealer is compulsory
Skills:
In house purchasing experience for automobile purchasing is plus
Solid experience of auction of vehicle plate license
Sound understanding of purchasing principles;
Skilled in procurement cost reduction
Having after marketing and commercial products background is preferred;
Good written and spoken in English
Competencies:
Results driven
Ethical, bright & organized, have the passion for success
Additional Notes:
Candidate must be flexible to travel at least 50% of the time. Ability to work independently. Creativity. Open minded to try new techniques and ways of doing business.
