Branch Manager

Full-time at Hertz China in Chengdu

Branch Manager, Hertz China. Reporting directly to Sales Director, China.
B. Job purpose (mission or “raison d’être”)

The key responsibilities and accountabilities for the incumbent are to:
 The branch manager is responsible for 70%managing sales activities of the region by performing sales forecasts, ensuring sales revenue and profit growth, reviewing market analyses, managing sales staff and monitoring price objectives. And, 30% be a positivity support towards operation.
C. Key-result areas (Major Accountabilities) (What is done and for what purpose)

Direct and supervise branch sales to ensure market growth and business plan objectives are attained
 Analyze market data and opportunities to ensure proper sales coverage
 Develop and maintain an effective marketing plan which details the steps to take in order to improve the success of the branch
 Conduct face-to-face sales calls in order to obtain new business
 Attend/host outside sales meetings or events to promote the company and branch location
 Continue to increase the market penetration of the branch and increase revenue
 Communicate with area director to ensure customer commitments realized and opportunities seized
 Communicate with region, branch sales staff to ensure pricing objectives met in accordance with company decree
 Communicate and lead all sales training efforts in accordance with company policy
 Manage the cars and utilize the branch fleet such that the revenue generated is at the maximum level
 Actively work to reduce depreciation per vehicle and increase utilization
 Ensure vehicle maintenance and recalls are being done on vehicles

F. Knowledge, skills and experience required

Educational Background:
University degree from an accredited four year collegiate institution. Alternatively, an associates degree or vocational certificate with extensive knowledge of equipment sales and marketing.
Knowledge:
 Strong comprehension of equipment rental industry and economic drivers that impact performance
 Outstanding ability to obtain and analyse competitive market data
 Financial and business acumen
