Placement Coordinator
at Next Step Connections in Shanghai
Next Step Connections Ltd. (NSC) is a leading global professional education organization connecting students and young professionals with international career development opportunities. NSC specializes in providing a full service program in Shanghai and Hong Kong for overseas students and gap year participants. NSC creates tailor-made internship and entrepreneurship programs in Asia that are aimed to help participants launch their successful careers.
NSC is currently accepting applications for an outstanding candidate to join our team as a Placement Coordinator. It is a full-time position which the candidate is responsible for placing applicants in our program into the right internships.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Find an adequate internship placement opportunity which matches the applicant's needs and requirements within the given timeline;
• Explore databases, networks and resources to find new companies and building new relationships with Shanghai-based companies across all industries;
• Secure 5-10 new companies each month via online research, cold calls, sales presentation, attending monthly networking events, etc;
• Work with the placement team to build and keep the in-house industry library database updated;
• Do company visits to current partner and new potential companies;
• Attend weekly placement meeting to update status of placements;
• Other then above roles, job holder should follow other job duties and responsibilities assigned by line manager from time to time. Please note that the job description above will be reviewed every year, which may be amended and agreed where necessary by the employee and the line manager.
Skills and specifications:
• Articulated, well-versed in English and fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
• Great interpersonal skills, well-presented and easy to get along well with people;
• Resourceful and eager to search and find information and contacts.
• Able to take full ownership of all projects, and results oriented.
• Customer services mind-set with strong sales and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time wisely.
• Minimum 2 years living experience in Shanghai.
• Interested in career education.
• Experience in more than one culture preferred.
• Team player with experience working/being in a team environment preferred.
• A minimum of one year working experience in a multinational company preferred.
• University/college students or fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
• Previous experience in the recruitment industry would be appreciated.
