Strategic Marketing Manager
at WORRELL in Shanghai
Objective/Purpose of the position
Implement the Company’s marketing/media Strategy, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic, maximizing positive free publicity by recommending, planning and executing public relations initiatives and brand events. This role coordinates with the internal BD and design team to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating a social media referral network.
Key activities/Accountabilities
- Pro-actively developing and executing Public Relations, Social Media Relations and Brand Event strategies, and its derived programs.
- Manage marketing/social media campaigns and day-to-day activates. Duties include writing newsletter, editorial, internal magazine, refreshing company websites, community-outreach efforts, etc.
- Manage presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, and other similar community sites, posting on relevant industry forums, blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed.
- Become an advocate of the Company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
- Manage a Blogger outreach program and build an active brand ambassador network to spread the word about the Company.
- Work with graphic designer to ensure effective translation of marketing strategies into ROI centric media hotspot.
- Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of marketing/media campaigns, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
- Remains up to date on the fast developing media environment, tools and applications.
Knowledge/Experience
- Bachelor degree in Marketing, Advertising, PR or Business Management.
- Minimum 1 yr full time or intern experience in Communications or PR at a multinational or with an agency.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Digg, Youtube, Twitter, Flickr etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios.
- Extensive experience in writing and editing for print and multi-media formats.
- Energetic, proactive, well-organized professional who thrives in a team-oriented environment and who is a self-starter.
- An eye for detail and a passion for design are a must.
- Must be native English Speaker
PC/Language/Other Skills
- Excellent written English. Able to write / review PR releases
- Strong presentation, organizational and project management skills
