WAC Lighting seeks a Quality Manager to drive quality standards for our global business. A solid candidate will be eager to work with senior management and have experience in the following areas:

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Work with NY corporate headquarters to determine quality specifications for new and existing products. Hold company owned and external manufacturers accountable to agreed upon quality standards.
• Work onsite at vendors to train quality inspectors to corporate standards and spot check production lines.
• Identify and find creative solutions to complex quality issues. Work with manufacturers/vendors to implement swift corrective actions.
• Review and approve samples for initial production.
• Provide executive reporting, analysis on the performance of all manufacturing vendors and make recommendations on necessary changes. Include defect Pareto charts defect rates.
• Develop relationships with vendors.
• Respond to external customer quality concerns and provide technical corrective actions.
• Work with product development team to proactively identify potential quality issues during the development process. Make recommendations for effective risk management.
• Lead internal quality functions. Communicate with operations/manufacturing to implement corrective actions and improvement activities on existing product issues.
• Develop and implement systems to improve product quality.

Requirements:
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is a MUST
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5-7 years work experience in a quality management related field
• Detailed understanding of root cause and corrective action processes and procedures.
• Highly organized and able to function in a fast paced work environment.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner.
• Process-oriented and creative problem solver.
• Demonstrates solid computer skills including SAP, MS Office Suite, and AutoCAD.
• 25% international travel to the US
