AP Economics and English/Literature Teachers need in Ningbo

American Language Arts and English Literature Teacher and AP Economics Teacher needed in Ningbo Binhai International Cooperative School.
Summary:
We welcome the humanities into Chinese education! Professional high school Language Arts teacher and AP Economics teacher needed to teach courses in an international American program in Ningbo, China. Competitive salary, benefits, and professional atmosphere.
Duties:
No more than 20 teaching periods (40-minute periods) per week, average 15 periods.
Curriculum teaching plans are provided. Teachers are expected to design daily lessons aligned with curriculum learning objectives, as well as design quizzes, tests, and/or any other assessments. All teachers will receive guidance, as needed, from the American academic director.
Prepare students for AP examinations through intensive study sessions and mock examinations. Grade and keep accurate records of student work. Provide individual feedback to students (and parents, if applicable).
Provide help to students during mid-day breaks and evening study time to establish solid working relationships between students and teachers.
Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and students activities. We welcome candidates who are interested in starting any extra-curricular activities for students to resemble a “real” American learning context.
Requirements:
• American teachers ONLY that are familiar with the American high school curriculum for 9-12 Language Arts or Economics.
• University degree in English (not ESL or TESOL) is strongly required.
• Two or more years of high school teaching experience, preferably in an American high school.
• Commitment to a one-year contract or longer
• Must be able to teach Language Arts and some ELL course to make a full-time teaching schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Working visa preferred
• Familiar with AP examinations
• Experience in teaching abroad
• An internationally recognized TEFL teaching qualification, such as CELTA (if foreign candidate)
• Possess an authentic concern for students’ achievement and the growth of our program
