Looking for COMMUNICATIONS VOLUNTEERS - ONE PART-TIME PROJECT ASSISTANT
at CandleX in Beijing
ABOUT US:
CandleX was born on 1st April 2015 in Beijing.
CandleX has the overall objective of preventing general public from mental illness and improved condition for those who are mildly depressed. Using both English (primary) and Chinese (secondary), we aim for creating community based mental health platform able to provide mental health support to targeted group (English speaking locals, expats) who are prone to, and/or suffering from mild mental illness with a focus on depression and bi-polar disorder.
Our approach focuses on creating offline support groups for the community to share their experience dealing with mental health illness and share self-healing tools; providing online support that is more accessible to general public via online resource centers, forums for ongoing and in time support.
VACATIONS:
CandleX invites applications from the interested and eliglible candidates for the following positions:
1. COMMUNICATIONS VOLUNTEERS
TEAM/PROGRAMME: CandleX Project
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: Project Manager
Staff directly interact to this post: project team, external technical advisors and field experts
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Volunteers are to take one or some of the following tasks:
Online account management
Website building and updating
Video editing and graphic design, photography (posters, handouts, PPTs)
Moderation of social media platforms and internal manual development (English)
External IEC development
SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS
Interest, time commitment, ability to learn and spirit of team work.
Candidates who are currently students in Beijing (third year students or above) and have interest in psychology, neurology and human biology are particularly taken into account.
2. PART-TIME PROJECT ASSISTANT (one paid position)
TEAM/PROGRAMME: CandleX Project
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: Project Manager
Staff directly interact to this post: project team, volunteers, external technical advisors and field experts, stakeholders
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
collaboration to the establishment, implementation of project plans, policies and solutions of CandleX Project
i. Develop IEC materials,
ii. Project information hand-out,
iii. Community and TA (technical assistance) outreach,
iv. manage volunteers
Contribution to issue resolution and escalation, research and analysis activities and planning and monitoring activities
