Content Curator/Marketer

Full-time at Daily Cast Lab in Beijing

Hey guys,

My name is Joseph and I am the marketing manager with Daily Cast Lab here in Beijing. We produce an app called DailyCast+, available on the iOS app store and Google Play, that aggregates viral videos from a variety of platforms including YouTube, Vimeo, VIVO, Dailymotion and BuzzFeed among others.

We are planning on releasing a new overhauled version of our app soon and because of this we will be hiring more native English speakers to work in content planning and general marketing. For the following position we would prefer a young American as we need someone with a vast knowledge of modern American youth culture to help us plan the content we will feature in our app, as well as being a liaison between our company and content creators on social media, YouTube, etc.

As part of the interview, we would like you to download our app and mess around with it so you can let us know what you think, and we want your honest opinion, positive or negative, as we are honestly interested in consumer and employee feedback because we believe innovation is reached when we are exposed to all possible positions on a situation.

Also, and very importantly, we provide Z visas for all non-native employees (and also free lunch!).

So without further adieu, let me present you with the specifications for the open position:

- Responsible for managing our daily video content, including news reporting, editing and writing short movie/TV show/viral video reviews.

- Responsible for keeping up with current events, collecting information and research on social trends, finding hot and relevant topics and organizing app video content by topic.

- Reviewing and correcting written materials to insure linguistic accuracy and timely submission to other departments.

-Retrieving content from video creators, acting as a liaison between content creators/industry influencers and our content team.

-Attending to other responsibilities that may arise as concerns content curation and content marketing.

If you made it through this long winded post, I congratulate you! I know I tend to ramble sometimes but I just want to make sure I am thorough as I am not Chinese and I understand what it can be like to look for a job here (e.g., job description doesn't match actual job).

If you are interested in this position please contact via email at Joseph@Jiandaola.com, send me a brief cover letter (a few paragraphs is fine) about why you would be fit for the job, your resume and CV and I will contact you back immediately as we are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.

I look forward to hearing from all interested applicants!
