Project Manager
at Messe Duesseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd in Shanghai
Project Manager job duties:
1. Overall Responsibility
This role is to be responsible for the development, total revenue and contribution to the assigned shows (see above)
2. Show Organization/ Event-related concepts
· Drive growth through aggressive exhibitor sales
· Ensure the assigned project achieve the financial target and maintain a continuous growth. Maintain good relationships with business partners, supervise the team to implement the sales plan, keep close contact with HQ for related topics
· Advise in developing trade show implementation plans, provide development and innovation suggestions and report to the director
· Understand history and current developments of counter-exhibitions, and raise corresponding maximum-beneficial plans, responsible for collecting exhibition-related industrial trends and provide suggestions on subsequent opportunities and challenges for the director’s reference
· Coordinate with MarCom and Technical departments to ensure the quality of the show
· Ensure maintenance and growth of exhibitor database / CRM System (ensuring high data quality)
3. Cooperation and Management
· Verifying coordination of measures in cooperation with internal and external bodies within the designated area of responsibility;
· Taking measures to correct any deviation between actual and target performance;
· Train and coach team members on project related matters.
Skills/Qualifications:
· 3-5 years working experience is preferred
· Bachelor degree or above
· Comprehensive knowledge of related exhibition or event experience - inbound and outbound exhibition business (well known of the exhibition process, including show scheme, budget, data building and especially sales. As well as experienced in project business development and seeking out new partners)
· Excellent sales skills for recruiting exhibitors
· Responsible, dynamic & committed, flexible & creative, cooperation ability & team spirit, communication skills, readiness to learn and strong customer orientation
· Writing and reporting skills, scheduling skills, organization talent, time management and presentation skills, travel logistics and verbal communication skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft office skills, especially PowerPoint, Word and Excel
· Fluent in both written and spoken English is a must
· Fluent in both written and spoken German would be beneficial
