Business Development Manager- Telecom

DataWind Inc. is a global leader in the development of consumer electronics and strives to provide world-wide internet connectivity. We offer a series of wireless web access devices and related web delivery platforms, including tablets and smart phones.
We are currently hiring a Business Development Manager-Telecom operating out of Shenzhen or Hong Kong. Reporting to the Chief Executing Officer and the Chief Technology Officer, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing DataWind’s strategies in China market.
Responsibilities:
• Dealing with telecom operators on a regular basis
• Discovering and exploring potential lucrative strategic alliances and partnerships by performing market research and financial modeling
• Buying Data on MVNO basis on behalf of Datawind
• Developing and implement MVNO and other mobile business strategies and business plans
• Creating strategies by studying integration of new ventures with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials, as well as estimating partners' needs and goals
• Accomplishing revenue and profitability goals in assigned target segments
• Managing and developing sales channel relationship
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and/or commerce or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in strategic sales in telecommunication industry in China
• Strong understanding and knowledge about telecommunication industry
• Strong business acumen including awareness of global business trends, and new business opportunities
• Ability to interact and work effectively with a broad range of China Telecom functional areas and command of inter-department coordination
• Competence in strategic planning, as well as identification and development of new ideas, processes and approaches
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Excellent command of English
