Programme Coordinator

About the role
This is a an incredible opportunity to join the Shanghai office of a rapidly growing international business with
locations in across 10 locations including London, New York and Hong Kong and has been featured on CNN, Financial
Times, and Forbes. Intern Shanghai is looking for a talented, ambitious and driven individual to join our first-class
international team devoted to providing international students with great internships and learning experiences
abroad.
As a programme coordinator you will have a diverse role and will be responsible for a wide range of responsibilities.
Your role will be essential to the success of our business as you will work heavily with all of our participants and
partnering companies to ensure a successful internship for both parties. This is an exciting role, offering the chance
for a results driven, ambitious individual to work across strategic planning, operations, marketing & sales, customer
service, project management and more.
Responsibilities include:
● Participant communications. You will be responsible for all communications with our program participants
prior to their arrival in Shanghai. These participants are international students, recent graduates and
experienced professionals looking to do an international internship in Shanghai. You will be their main point
of contact and will guide them through the process
● Placement matching. Your main responsibility will be to co-ordinate the programme and ensure participants
and companies receive a successful internship experience. This includes:
○ Analysing video interviews to learn more about them and their internship preferences
○ Writing up short participant profiles
○ Working with the rest of the team to match participants with one of our fantastic partnering
companies
○ Arranging interviews between the participant and the partnering company
○ Ensuring all relevant documents have been signed by both the student and the partnering company
● Account Management . You will stay organized on the progress of all participants’ programmes by ensuring
all elements of the programme process are being handled in a timely manner and that all records on our
online management system and management documents are up to date.
● Visa guidance . Providing all interns with any support needed with regard to their visa application.
● Business Development. Support the team in growing our network of partner companies, including
web-based research of companies operating in designated industries, initial outreach emails / calls to
companies to discuss collaboration opportunities, attend pitching meetings to engage prospective
companies to partner with us and contribute to regular strategic meetings to come up with new and creative
ways of promoting Intern Shanghai in targeted industries.

Requirements
● Excellent communication skills
● Fluency in written and verbal English and Chinese is a must
