Chief Operation officer
at VVR INTERNATIONAL in Dezhou

We are currently searching for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to work in a factory located in Dezhou in China.

Under the supervision of the CEO, she/he will carry out the following missions:
Operation management
- With the principle of coordinating with CEO's development strategy, manage all operational matters in the factory.
- Set up the whole operation system, including production, quality, R&D, purchase and logistic, form work process flow, set KPI measurement rules, ensure that the operation system runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Monitor the production plan execution to ensure production efficiency and meet the production targets.
- Lead the team to optimize the working process and procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
- Ensure that the team follows all policies and disciplines and make sure the working environment is safe and comfortable.
- Ensure equipment installation and maintenance for the plant normal operation.
Quality management
- With the assistance of the quality manager, implement a quality management system and tools to meet the group and its customers' requirement.
Technical management
- Coordinate actions between the Chinese factory and the Group design department regarding product development and improvement.
Ensure the operation in compliance with the Group policies
- Prepare for the internal audits, making sure all activities are all in compliance with the Group policies.
- Prepare for external audits by the third parties, i.e. quality, environment, safety audits.
- Prepare for customers audits to ensure that the customers understand and find confidence in our operation activities.
- Make sure all operations are in alignment with EHS regulations.
People culture and development
- Build up positive management, focus on problem solving and prevention and people friendly culture.
- Encourage people growth and development.
Management of Finance and HR, IT
- With the assistance of the finance department, carry out product cost analysis, capital expenditure and operational expenditure budgeting and cost control.
- Guide and monitor HR operation to ensure that the related policies are in place and implemented accordingly.
- Oversee the IT service to ensure the IT facilities are operating properly (potential ERP set-up to be monitored).
Expected profile
- Engineering degree (master or above), mechanical or related major, MBA is a plus.
- More than 7 years of working experience, including several years in China.
- At least 3 years in a factory management position.
- Experience in Western companies.
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budget, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).
- Proven experience on cost control, production and quality management.
- Experience in product development/industrialization and project management.
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
- Good communication skills both in English and Chinese, French would be a plus.
- Highly commited and reliable.
