Lean Operation Expert
Location: Qingdao, China
Salary: 450-1000k per year
External Adv for Operations Expert
1. Job Responsibilities:
(1). Operations Assessment and Strategy Development
Consistently assess the current status in Service Delivery’s operations and identify areas for improving operations effectiveness and/or efficiency. Dig deeper into the root cause of problems or identify gaps for operations maturity. Along with direct manager, develop strategy for maintaining and advancing a smooth operation and communicate the vision across the organization. Areas included but not limited to business metrics, new operating models, supply chain management etc.
(2). Set up and Manage Projects
Get organizational buy-in for setting up strategic projects, and lead the projects to ensure effective project execution and achieve desired business results. This includes root cause analysis and set up the right sponsorship, stakeholder management, identifies the right people for the project and form a project team, managing the cost, timelines and results.
3. Support Corporate Strategy Development
Keep current of the BPO industry trend and relevant technology to be the thought leader and contribute to corporate strategy development
2. Requirements:
1. 5+ years lean leadership experience in Operations/QA, finance and insurance industries/BPO background, insurance field would be preferred, Six Sigma Black Belt;
2. Excellent English skills (written and verbal);
3. Demonstrated hands-on “Gemba” problem solving (going to the workplace, looking at the details) and coaching expertise;
4. Higher level strategy deployment (“Hoshin Kanri”) perspective and sophistication
Excellent communication / interpersonal skills, and ability to engage with a broad range of employees from staff to director level;
5. Proven ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives, focused on quality, time, customer satisfaction and cost, utilizing Lean Thinking methodologies;
6. Proven ability in managing complex and cross-department projects and consulting for strategy development;
7. Expertise in common lean tools/concepts such as: VSM, Standardized Work, Job Instruction, KAIZEN, Flow, PDCA, A3 Management, Heijunka, and Visual Control, and their application in transactional environments;
8. Technical skills in analysis, statistics and report development;
9. Culture sensitivities and can work effectively in cross culture environment
