Hardware Engineer
at Robo Wunderkind in Shenzhen
We are looking for a Hardware Engineer who could help us on a freelance basis.
You will liaise with our team in Shenzhen, China and our R&D team based in Vienna.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working together with Manufacturing Engineers and Firmware Engineers on PCB prototyping and mass production.
Review of current PCB designs to evaluate issues, or potential functionality problems.
Validating and redesigning PCBs for mass production.
Keeping track of changes needed for board revisions.
Creating PCB designs from scratch.
Testing hardware designs and existing hardware to increase lifetime and decrease cost.
Writing and debugging low-level firmware in C.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
Multi processor SoCs, ARM based, preferred Alwinner.
High speed memory interface design (DDRx).
Digital communication interface design (I2C, SPI, UART).
Power management/distribution/DCDC conversion design.
RF, BLE and WiFi.
Microcontrollers, 8051 series.
Low-level firmware design for 8051.
Design for manufacturing / design for test.
Experience with Altium Design Software.
Failure analysis / root cause investigation.
Previous robotics or prototyping experience.
Organised and a quick learner.
Ability to effectively multi-task with multiple on-going projects.
Experience with board bring-up for prototyping and testing designs.
Good English, knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
