Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
To prepare accurate and timely financial reports and tax returns for a Chinese subsidiary.
To work closely with professionals in China, as necessary, to maintain an understanding of the accounting and legal requirements in each country
Prepare reports and analyses for internal management, for external professionals, and for regulatory agencies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Prepare monthly financial statements and analyses
•Prepare monthly journal entries
•Prepare and submit monthly/annual tax returns
•Work with IS and outside professionals to maintain the electronic accounting/reporting system required by China
•Prepare work papers for annual audits and work with outside auditors
•Reconcile related party accounts and coordinate proper accounting with other accountants
•Prepare and send information to legal reps and other professionals, as necessary
•Coordinate tax work with external accountants and present results to management for review/approval
•Work with outside professionals to assure that accounting and reporting is in compliance with in-country laws
•Work extensively with Accounting and Information
•Systems, as necessary, to automate, enhance, and modify system generated reports/downloads
•Work extensively with International, Inventory Control, Sales, Marketing, Credit, and Order Administration to assure that monthly transactions are properly recorded and to maintain knowledge of the operation
•Complete or assist in special projects, as necessary.

Bilingual Accountant
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Must be fluent in Chinese and must be able to read and write the language.
Must be literate and proficient in Excel and Word.
Must have a working knowledge of a general ledger and account payable/receivable systems. Experience with or knowledge of banking, accounting, and tax laws in China helpful.
