OCheng - Head of BD Wanted

As part of our scale-up strategy, OCheng is currently offering collaborative position, Head of Business Development.
OCheng Inc was founded in 2015 as a marketing provider specializing in artificial intelligence and large data analytics for retail brands. We create marketing platforms for clients to analyze consumer behaviour, target different customer profiles, and automate their marketing operations across multiple channels. Our company upholds strong partnerships with established companies; the closest being Microsoft and WeChat.
With a scalable business model, Asia’s first angel investor, SOSV invested in OCheng and is in the pre-series A round. Our client pool comprises of brands such as Sephora, Dunhill, H&M, Michael Kors etc.

Report to: Chief Executive Officer
Preferred external resource: BD, Marketing, Sales in Fashion/Beauty/Life Style/Retail/Luxury

Location: Shanghai, China
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or above
Working Experience: Minimum two years of outside sales experience in a B2B sales environment

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
 Contribute to the development and refinement of company’s vision and long-term strategy
 Support the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure the organization maximizes its short, medium and long-term profitability and shareholder returns
 Develop, review, and report on the business development division’s strategy, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed by the team
 Building key customer relationships; and convert potential customers into clients
 Identifying business opportunities
 Negotiating and closing business deals; and lead all aspects in sales
 Outsourcing sales resources to assist in solution development, proposal delivery
 Market research
 Communicate with all departments to ensure BD strategies are understood and executed
 Lead team on competitor analysis; maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions
 Ensure effective marketing, advertising and promotional planning through the marketing department.

Basic Areas of Knowledge and Skills
 Excellent project and time management skills
 Knowledge of sales and management principles
 Strong skills in analysis, organization and leadership

Applicants with following experience or resources is preferred
 Experience in digital marketing for retail, luxury, fashion, lifestyle, cosmetics
 Strong client relationships and partner resources in retail, luxury, fashion, lifestyle, cosmetics
 Experience in selling SaaS products and artificial Intelligence would be preferred.
 Consulting experience with innovative thinking
 Bilingual; working proficiency in both Mandarin & English
