Business Developer and Consultant with focus on English market At Mandarin Morning Mandarin School

Full-time at Mandarin Morning in Shanghai


Daily tasks
You will work together with and report to the Program Director and Marketing Director on the following daily tasks, including but not limited to:

Online marketing (Time Spent 50%)
• Managing English social media channels: blogs – posting Mandarin Morning school events, useful information about living or studying in China, advertisement
• LinkinIN community forum – Posting detailed information about Mandarin Morning school, including job advertisements; introductory information about courses and internships
• Build a network of power bloggers
• Managing the English part of our website (content and SEO)
• Find appropriate target markets and websites to promote Mandarin Morning School – Shanghai community site, English Speak Expat living in foreign countries’ site
• Event marketing: Invite English Speaking Expat whenever we hold an event and promote the school

Sales (Time Spent 30%)
• Manage sales process from first contact through final enrollment with applicants from English speakers, by email and phone and attract package or local students, including:
o Informing and guiding applicants in their search for the right program
o Interviewing new Internship Program applicants for the Internship Program
o Matching the Internship Program applicants with available internship offers by contacting the companies
o Helping applicants of the Intensive Chinese program to define the specific characteristics of their program and answer their questions
o Advising enrolled students on the logistical aspects of their stay before their arrival
o Communicating with other 3rd parties involved in the enrolment process
o Assist the Sales Director by providing information and feedback regarding the sales process with the aim to continuously improve the process

Customer service and quality control (Time Spent 10%)
• Help to prepare for students’ arrival
• Take the student to his/her classroom
• Take the student to the visa center to help them apply
• Follow up on the lesson quality and help to ensure our students are happy with the services they are receiving
• Follow up with students of the Intensive Chinese program to measure satisfaction

Business development (Time Spent 10%)
• Contact new companies and/or answer companies’ enquiries
• Help the Program Director in defining the internship offers from new partner companies
• Joining network events and increase awareness among local Expat communities
• Search and contact new agents who will bring English speaking expat students to Mandarin Morning school
