Strategic Consultant (Shenzhen & Beijing)

Job Title: Strategic Consultant
Salary: 24,000 – 28,000 RMB (negotiable) + bonuses & benefits.
Location: Shenzhen or Beijing
About the Company:
The company provides education consulting services to Chinese high school students looking to enter top U.S universities. Consultants are responsible for having a thorough understanding of the college admissions system, staying up-to-date on current information relating to applications, and most crucially, working with students to guide them throughout the whole process.
Key Responsibilities:
The main task of the Strategic Consultant is to research and understand the college admissions landscape.
Consultants must strive to better understand students and pinpoint where their talents lie, so as to encourage them to hone particular areas of their studies.
Other important tasks involve helping students to pick out potential degree majors, choosing appropriate colleges based upon their situation and requirements, providing constructive feedback on their admissions essays, and encouraging overall development of each individual student in both academic and extracurricular fields.
Other Responsibilities:
Provide a professional consulting service to students and families;
Supervise the application process at all stages, guaranteeing quality and conclusion;
Support in academic advising and activity planning for young students;
Implement and manage the consulting strategic direction;
Prepare reports and updates at regular intervals when conducting tasks related to client consultation (including sales, service, marketing, and so on);
Join weekly meetings with the rest of the office team;
Have a key presence in marketing, promotional and sales seminars.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree from a Top 20 US University programme;
Strong writing and editing skills;
Adept communication and public speaking ability;
A passion for working with young people and helping them succeed;
Clear understanding of what constitutes high-quality customer service;
Able to work 40 hours per week, with additional hours (including some evenings/weekends) when necessary;
Relevant experience preferred;
Police clearance from country of residence (within 3 months).
