News Presenter

Our client is China’s new international media organization. The new brand was launched by the state run broadcaster on late 2016. By launching the new channel, the station wants to re-brand its product to the world, to cope with the global trend in media convergence.
Key responsibilities:
1.Present international news and feature programming to a general audience in an engaging and compelling way.
2.Perform live and recorded interviews.
3.Write and edit scripts and links when required, often under tight time pressure.
4.Assist in researching and writing questions, working closely with producers, writers and guest bookers.
5.Perform other presenting duties across various multimedia platforms when requested.
6.Participate as a brand ambassador in occasional events.
Requirements:
With a proven track record as an engaging television news presenter, you will be experienced at handling breaking news on air and be able to sustain impromptu live broadcasts without autocue.
You will also:
1.Speak English at an idiomatic level. Basic knowledge of Mandarin Chinese preferred.
2.Be a trained journalist with 5 + years experience as a broadcast TV news anchor
3.Demonstrate strong interviewing skills.
4.Have excellent television news writing skills.
5.Have a good understanding of international news, current affairs, and world history.
6.Be able to digest complex issues quickly and present those issues in a direct and simple way.
7.Show a willingness to embrace the future of the digital world.
8.Previous reporting/anchoring experience in China/APAC is preferred.
