Senior Product Development Manager

The Senior Product Development Manager (PDM) will create and maintain the business plan for the markets served by our product line. In this role, s/he will articulate the company’s distinctive competence and the product’s unique advantage. In support of the business case, the PDM will translate qualitative and quantitative research with existing customers and potential prospects to effective products. In addition, the PDM will perform sales, trend, and profitability analysis. As the key business manager on the product, the PDM will interface with industry thought leaders and strategic partners and key personal in the software engineering department. The PDM will work with decision makers in marketing & communications to ensure that the product is correctly communicated to the market. Position has opportunity for further advancement.
Primary responsibilities:
Provide in-depth market, industry and competitive analysis and positioning
Develop pricing and packaging strategies
Work closely with the marketing & communications team to develop tools and training
Develop and manage client feedback
Work with the team to develop innovative marketing programs and show event campaigns
Develop content for product and company collateral
Required Experience & Knowledge:
Good English and Mandarin language skills
3+ years of experience as a Product Marketing Manager
Prior experience marketing educational software & social media
Knowledge of the Internet and prior experience utilizing the web as a marketing vehicle
Demonstrated success in product launches and end-to-end execution of marketing strategies
Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentation experience to large and diverse audiences
Ability to do product demonstrations
Seasoned experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Basic programming knowledge would be an advantage
Education:
An undergraduate degree is required and an MBA is highly desired.
