Sales & Account Manager
at VenueHub in Shanghai
To head up the opening of our new Shanghai office, we are looking for a qualified Sales & Account Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with customers and overseeing sales for our Shanghai location. This role will be reporting to the Managing Director of VenueHub (based in Hong Kong).
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success
- Establish relationships and secure contracts with new customers
- Maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients
- Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales
- Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking
- Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs
- Develop and maintain territory plans which outline how sales targets will be met on an ongoing basis
- Monitor sales metrics (e.g. sales results and annual forecasts)
- Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
Requirements:
- Proven work experience in F&B or hospitality-related industry, previous experience in sales is preferred but not a must
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Hunter mentality
- Using an existing network of industry contacts to generate new business
- Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude
Education:
Degree level
Language skills:
- Fluent in English
- Fluent in Mandarin
- Fluent in Cantonese a bonus
Experience:
- Ability to successfully manage strategic supplier relationships
- Good knowledge of the marketplace platform industry a preference
