Driven by the increasing need for global exposure, cultural knowledge and engagement opportunities with the global marketplace, Gentex offers a comprehensive experience as an Associate Engineer supporting China projects, that is centered around state-of-the-art technology, research and engineering processes. The position is concentrated on building Gentex specific expertise and focuses on experience, reputation and effective solutions to the global engineering challenges of the 21st century and beyond.

This position will allow globally experienced engineers to work in Gentex’s corporate global headquarters located in Zeeland, Michigan for a designated period of time before returning to work at the Gentex Shanghai Electronics Technologies office in Shanghai, China. During this time, the candidate will work hands on with the company’s corporate engineering teams as a valued individual contributor while learning proprietary manufacturing and engineering processes that have lead to the development of Gentex’s technically advanced product mix.

After a defined period of time working at the Zeeland headquarters, the candidate will have the opportunity to transition into the Shanghai, China local office, serving as a key team member in the specialized discipline.

Relocation expenses and/or housing stipend are provided on a case-by-case basis.

Requirements:

• A 4-year engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Software/Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Fluency in both English and Chinese is required for this position.
• This position requires the candidate to live/work in the United States for the first 12 to 24 months of employment.
• Knowledge or experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
